Can I use my own email software with onShore?

Yes. onShore is compatible with all email clients, including Outlook and Outlook Express, Thunderbird, Eudora, Mac Mail, Windows (Vista) Mail and Entourage. Please visit our email client configuration page. If you need assistance with an email client not listed, you may request instructions here.

I am able to receive e-mail without a problem, but I can't send anything. What's wrong?

If you are able to receive, but not send email, you may need to update your SMTP settings. onShore uses a specific secure port for outgoing mail, and requires authentication with a valid username and password. Please visit SMTP authentication for step-by-step instructions on how to configure your software.

I am not using my onShore email address. Do I still need to update my SMTP settings?

Yes. All hotWire internet customers use onShore's outgoing mail server to send mail. In addition, you will need a valid onShore username and password to authenticate your outgoing mail, even when sending from a non-onShore account.

How do I access my email remotely?

onShore email accounts can be checked from anywhere with an Internet connection. To access your mail from the web, visit:
